SEE AND BE SEEN (2026)

This series is a whimsical journey that combines 3-D heavy body acrylic paint and a non-serious element. It was a fun experiment to create hundreds of 3-D collage pieces with cake decorating tools. I also had a stash of various sizes of wiggly eyes and enjoyed incorporating them into most of these pieces.

 There is a playful energy in this series that serves as a reminder that art does not have to be serious to still be considered ‘art’. And playfulness is balanced with consideration for how we view artwork and how we are viewed by and choose to engage with a piece – whether it has eyes or not.
